PV Solar system part one the battery bank
I have started building my battery bank that I will be charging with my solar panels. I may be working backwards but because the batteries were available and free I decided to start there.
This is four out of the eight batteries I will be using in the bank. I am putting them all in as a twelve volt system so the batteries will be in parallel. I have been debating on running this as twelve volts or twenty four volts so I will start with twelve and switch over to twenty four if it is a better solution.

Brunton Solar system Solaris 26 and Solo 7.5
Review of the Brunton Solaris 26 panel and the Brunton Solo 7.5 Battery
when power is needed far off the grid this is the go to system.
Best used for back country camping mountaineering and long expeditions.
The Solaris 26 has a output of 26 watts at 12 volts 1.4 amps and weighs in at 28oz it measures 8.5 x 11.5 in folded and 22.5 x 42 in spread out. The Brunton Solo 7.5 is a 5600 mAh Battery that weighs in 2.2 lbs and outputs 11-16 volts at 3-5 amps of current. The Battery takes 5-12 hrs to charge by solar, 2.5 hrs by car charger and 4 hrs by wall outlet. This system Runs in the steep price range of $500-$750 but it is one of the only systems on the market capable of this much power at this price and durability.
